Serviceberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 ½ cups serviceberries
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Mix together flour and sugar
  • Stir in serviceberries
  • Line pie plate with bottom crust
  • Add berry mixture, then sprinkle with lemon juice and water
  • Dot with butter, cover with top crust and prick in several spots
  • Brush with cream and sprinkle with sugar
  • Bake for 45-60 min or until juice boils up thickly
