Description: High elevation, mat-forming perennial (4-8″) with white to cream flowers (spring to early summer, below). The seed heads are attractive, airy, snowy white tufts, emerging in late summer (shown here, right). The dark green foliage is evergreen. Dryas is beautiful in rock gardens even at low elevations. Sun, low water, well-drained soil.
