Description: aquatic plant with tuberous rhizomes buried in mud and arrow-shaped leaves that reach 12 to 18″ above the water. A separate flower stalk carries racemes of white flowers (yellow stamens) in summer. Wapato is a good water plant for shallow ponds. Sun, water/saturated soil.
