Skunk Cabbage is a striking perennial with hige green leaves (2 – 3 ft., 1 ft. wide) that push out from the ground. Its unusual flower – upright stalk covered with lots of tiny, greenish flowers (spadex) covered by a yellow hood (spathe) – bloom in early spring. Winter domarnt. Skunk Cabbage inhabits dark, boggy places and provides food for animal in early Spring.
Habitat: Shade / part sun, regular water
